Today is Pynchon in Public Day. Pictured here is Editorial Assistant Elizabeth Bruce with her totally rad tattoo of the muted post horn made famous in The Crying of Lot 49, awkwardly resting on a copy of Mason & Dixon in order to get enough light from the window. If I weren’t cowardly, I’d have a matching one as well. Maybe later.

Oedipa stood in the living room, stared at by the greenish dead eye of the TV tube, spoke the name of God, tried to feel as drunk as possible.

Go forth, readers. Discuss your post-modern lit theory, scribble your post horns and Kilroys, hide from cameras, collect stamps, listen to rock and roll, read Pynchon in public.

(Quote is from Lot 49, second sentence).
